City of Houston Hosts Media Tour of East Water Purification Plant
Interviews available to discuss investments needed to repair aging infrastructure


WHAT:


Houston Public Works plans to offer interviews and video opportunities to credentialed media at the East Water Purification Plant. Deputy Director Greg Eyerly will provide comments on the financial needs to improve our water infrastructure and what the city is doing to increase our water supply and capacity for our growing city.

The Houston Water System serves over 5 million people across the Houston region. The City of Houston requests financial assistance to target 6% of water lines in the distribution. Nearly 21 billion gallons of water could be saved by replacing 6% of Houston's water lines.
