Public Information Requests
The Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) gives the public the right to access government records. Houston Public Works responds to TPIA requests in a timely and transparent manner. Common requests include:
- Water and wastewater service records
- Building permits and code violations
- Real estate transactions and appraisals
- Neighborhood traffic projects (e.g., speed hump studies)
