Property Owners Should Prepare for Lower Lake Levels

<p>Houston Public Works will temporarily lower Lake Houston by <strong>12-inches</strong> in preparation for the upcoming rain event. Lowering will begin at 4 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024.<strong> </strong>It takes 24-hours to lower Lake Houston by 12-inches. The lake level will be reduced to an elevation of <strong>41.4 feet, </strong>weather permitting.</p>
<p>Property owners should secure property along the shoreline.</p>
