Property Owners Should Prepare For Lower Lake Levels

HOUSTON - Houston Public Works will temporarily lower Lake Houston by 12-inches in preparation for the upcoming rain event. Lowering will begin in the early morning hours on Saturday, February 10, 2024. It takes 24-hours to lower Lake Houston by 12-inches. The lake level will be reduced to an elevation of 41.5 feet, weather permitting


Property owners should secure property along the shoreline.
